ME Automation
Automating Other Blocks using ME
ME Contains a few blocks for basic automation without other mods.
- The ME Import Bus, which pulls items out of attached inventories, and stored them into the network.
- The ME Export Bus, which sends items out into attached inventories from the network.
- The ME IO Port, lets you automate the process of moving stored items from one network to a different network, and is also useful for re-organizing your storage configuration.
And a block that allows you to use other mods for automation, the ME Interface.
Both the ME Import Bus and ME Export Bus contain configurations for 8 item slots, stack/single item mode and redstone mode.
Both are Compatible with BC Special inventories, and as such will work with the BC Autocrafting table.
In Depth - ME Import Bus
The ME Import Bus will extract all items from the inventory that the head faces. If you specify no configuration options it will remove all items one at a time.
If you add items to the configuration screen, it will selectively extract just the configured items and leave anything else.
It has 2 Modes for stack, either single items, or stacks, both move at the same rate of about once per 10 ticks ( 0.5 seconds )
The default configuration is to ignore redstone all together, but you can configure it to run on a redstone signal, with 3 settings: when a redstone signal is applied, not applied, or on pulse.
In Depth - ME Export Bus
The ME Export Bus will add all items from the inventory that the head faces. If you specify no configuration options it not do anything.
Once you add items to the configuration screen, it will send items in the order you entered then from left to right, top to bottom.
It has 4 Modes for stack, either single items, stacks, crafting single, or crafting only, they all move at the same rate of about once per 10 ticks ( 0.5 seconds )
Crafting single is the same as single, but if it doesn't have any in storage it will attempt to use the auto crafting feature. Crafting only, will only craft, and never use storage.
The default configuration is to ignore redstone all together, but you can configure it to run on a redstone signal, with 3 settings: when a redstone signal is applied, not applied, or on pulse.
In Depth - ME Interface
The ME Interface is like a small automatically controlled chest, you can tell it to hold a certain number of items, and you stick items into it like a chest.
It must be plugged into a ME Network, to function properly, any items added will automatically be deposited into the network, and items can be extracted using the export configuration.
To use The ME Interface to supply items for other mods, you must enter items into the export config, which will tell the ME Controller for the ME Network to try and keep that many items in that slot in the inventory of the ME Interface ( the Exported items )
Logistics Pipes can see the entire ME Network via a Provider Pipe if you do not specifiy any exported items. The ME Network can see any available request options on the Logistics Pipe Network via a Request Pipe placed on the ME Interface.
The Final section of the ME Interface called Processing is used for configuring ME Crafting.
