ME Chest

The ME Chest is the simpliest way to use an ME Storage cell, it will give you direct access to the contents of the cell placed in the very top, right slot.

The ME Chest requires a small amount of power to run on its own, you cannot use a ME Power Relay to send it power, however you can plug it into a network via ME Cable so it can get power directly from an ME Controller if it is on an ME Network.

You can pump items directly into an ME Chest from Any source, however no items can be extracted directly form an ME Chest.

When you insert a storage cell into the ME Chest, it will change the small light on top from red to green to let you know you have a cell stored inside.

If Advanced Drive Rendering is enabled the top light means:

  • red = no room for anything
  • green = room for items or types
  • orange = no room for types, but room for items
  • if no power lights are off.
  • if no cell, empty slot is shown.
